I'm considering an Orbera Balloon Placement. How can I Learn more?

I'm considering having Bariatric Surgery. How can I make an appointment?

Need help making your decision? We offer a free Bariatric surgery seminar to all who want to attend. If you're ready to meet with a surgeon, new patient appointments may be made via chat or e-mail request. and someone will reach out to finalize your appointment, You can also call our scheduling department at 240-468-7995. If your insurance plan requires a referral, please obtain one prior to your scheduled visit. Established patients may also schedule via our patient portal.

Will my insurance cover my visit and Weight Loss Procedure?

Sadly insurance isn't what it once was. While many plans cover Bariatric surgery, other weight loss procedures such as the Orbera Balloon are currently not covered. We offer financing options for non-covered procedures.

We accept many insurance plans, but we are not in-network with all payers. Your particular plan will dictate which services are covered. Some plans will also require a referral from your primary care physician, It's recommended that you contact your insurance carrier for further information. You can also request a free insurance check.

After your consultation with Dr. Amin, we will provide you with an estimate of costs related to your treatment plan.

What Do I Need to Bring to My First Visit?

Here are a few items that you should be sure to bring to your first visit.

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance Card
  • Referral (If required)
  • Any Labs, Imaging Studies, or Procedure Notes related to the reason for your visit.

Will you be in contact with my PCP and other specialists?

We will work closely with your primary care provider and existing specialists as well as any we refer you to. Unfortunately, not all your records from other providers are automatically sent to us. Please ask your providers to send any relavent notes and results to our office at (833)-941-2310.

Where will my procedure take place?

Depending on the type of care you require, we will determine the optimal site of care. In some instances an office procedure would be most appropriate. In other situations a visit to a surgery center or hospital may be required. We are currently partnered with Adventist Healthcare White Oak Medical Center for hospital based care.

Do you offer financing options?

We proudly offer payment plans or financing through our practice partners. Anticipated costs related to your treatment plan will be reviewed after your initial consultation. During that time, we will review a host of options to allow you to finance your procedure.
